Empowering womXn to express themselves 

ABOUT US

Mix’d Ingrdnts is a multi-ethnic, multi-genre dance collective composed of female-identified artists, who work together with the intent to contribute to the impact of social change. The company does this through urban performance, dance education and connection, while cultivating a stronger community of artists of all ages and mediums, through process workshopping and mentorship.
 
Mix’d Ingrdnts Dance Company was established in 2010 and exists to empower women to express themselves. The company also aims to empower youth through dance knowledge, life skills, conversation, and movement in order to positively impact their lives, so that they can impact others and their communities.


Mix'd Ingrdnts strives to inspire those around them and through skillful artistry, uses their platform to continue to pave pathways for womxn and youth to authentically express themselves and utilize their very important and necessary voices. 

IN THE COMMUNITY

Mix'd Ingrdnts connects with communities through forums, school assemblies, festivals, large curated occasions, and various events around the Bay Area that promote social change and/or entertains the community.
 

HIGHLIGHTS

Mix'd Ingrdnts has opened and closed Amy Poehler's set at Clusterfest 2019, and was a featured segment on Harry Connick Jr.'s The Harry Show in New York.


We were commissioned to perform at the iconic Stern Grove Festival, on the bill with Hieroglyphics and Goapele and performed at the 2016 Super Bowl 50 events stage. They've also performed at the Museum of the African Diaspora in San Francisco, as a featured artist at the 50th anniversary of the Asian Art Museum, and for the California Association of Museums Conference; Changing the Narrative.

 

Mix'd Ingrdnts was also one of the commissioned artists at the YBCA Classic/k 93' Til show, among an illustrious Bay Area musical line-up curated by Marc Bamuthi Joseph.
